Play it on the way to school, in a quiet planning period, or at the end of the school year. It takes two or three minutes. Afterwards, think of one student you’ve seen grow this year, and let yourself feel proud of your part in it.

Why it’s written this way
Teaching is demanding, and the reasons people go into it can get buried under grading, meetings and long days. This loop digs them back up. It starts with a simple prompt to remember why you chose this work, then fills that memory with specific moments.
The early notes collect the moments teachers often name as the best part of the job: the look on a student’s face when something clicks, the funny things kids say, a student who struggled and grew. Each is concrete, so you can picture a real student as you listen.
The middle notes widen the circle to colleagues and admit plainly that teaching is hard, because gratitude that ignores that would ring false. The later notes look at your own growth and at the students you’ll never see again who still carry something from your classroom. It ends by bringing that reason into today.
